What is Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM)?

When the Andrew’s government announced in 2020 “if you can work remotely, you must” Remote monitoring and management (RMM) became our best friend. This function has been crucial for businesses for the last 18 months. With the move to working at home, online support is quickly becoming the new norm. So, what is Remote Monitoring and Management?

RMM is when your network and devices are supported from a remote location. By installing ‘agents’ on your devices, we can log in to them from an offsite location to provide assistance almost immediately.

‘Agents’ are lightweight applications that run in the background and do not affect any of the programs you run. These agents provide a secure connection between your device and the remote manager to ensure the safety of your data.
